How can I remove disk1 and macos x base system from HDD?[^3^]

Recovery HD is marked in the partition table with the type Apple_Boot, but is actually in the normal HFS+ format. It contains minimal booter files and kernel, and at /com.apple.recovery.boot/BaseSystem.dmg, a disk image with a stripped-down and tweaked copy of OS X. The booter mounts this volume (it attaches as /dev/disk1), and transfers to OS X running on it. This is the Mac OS X Base System.

Os X Base System Copy Basesystem.dmg

Since Mac OS X Lion (10.7 - released in 2011), Apple decided to no longer distribute an installation DVD, it provides the installer as an application that can be downloaded via the AppStore. This installer application contains the base system for installation and also a Recovery image that includes a basic OS implementation that is used at boot time. When you boot to the Recovery volume, you can use it to restore and/or install the operating system. You can read more on This detailed article on AFP548.

We also need to copy some installer dependencies, i.e. BaseSystem.chunklist and BaseSystem.dmg, and add them to the image. We find those two files in /Applications/Install macOS Catalina.app/Contents/SharedSupport, let's list that directory:

Now that your bootable ISO image with the macOS installer is ready, you should prepare your ESXi host for the installation of macOS as a guest OS on VMs. You need to enable SSH access, download the patch, copy the patch to the file system of the ESXi server, and patch the ESXi server.

Thank you so much for this great effort. My os stopped booting. So I have followed the steps as stated above. except the step below. All i want to do is use the installer created above to install my mac os. My question is Do i need to do the clover settings below? 2. I tried installing with all the steps above, so i attached the usb to my system and I was greeted with OS X Base System and EFI Boot... I choose egi boot... then clover came up ..it was trying to install , then my mac made 3 sounds continously, i gues it wasnt working ,lol) so i restarted the mac and I choose OS Xbase system...that also was installing suddenly it failed.

Extract Basesystem.dmg located inside the zip file on your Desktop > AssetData > Restore Now move the Basesystem.dmg back to your macOS Big Sur folder and you can unmount the stuff folder created earlier with sudo umount stuff.

Run Disk Utility and expand BaseSystem.dmg on the flash drive formatted GUID (the 'Options') and Mac OS coffee (HFS +) 6. Copy the folder OS X Install ESD / Packages folder on the flash drive in the / System / Installation / replacing the file alias Packages. Copy to the root of the stick and BaseSystem.dmg Basesystem.chunklist of Install ESD.
